Injury Lawyer

Being injured in any serious fashion has a challenging effect on the life of any individual. You will likely accrue expensive medical bills from your treatment, and may not be able to work for an extended period of time, further straining your lifestyle. If you have been injured as a result of the actions of someone else, whether intentional or otherwise, you may be legally entitled to damages from that party. Our team here at Somera Law Group is experienced with personal injury law and would be happy to work with you on your case.

There are three general categories of personal injury law that would allow you to pursue a claim against a specific party based on your injuries. Those categories are -

  • Intentional wrongs. If someone acts in a manner that is purposefully damaging to you, they may be guilty of an intentional wrong. Typically, these types of cases are brought as criminal charges against the defendant, but civil suits are also possible.
  • Negligence. This is the most common area of personal injury law, in which someone is deemed responsible for an accident that resulted in the injury of another party. While that person will not be guilty of a criminal act, they may still be held financially responsible for the damage they caused to another.
  • Strict Liability. In some cases, the defendant can be made responsible for the injuries of another regardless of whether or not the defendant acted in a reckless manner. For example, those that keep animals are responsible for the actions of the animals even if proper precautions are taken to contain the animals in a designated area.

You have suffered enough physically if you are injured by the actions of another person – you don’t need to suffer financially as well. Call our offices today for a free consultation and to get started working on your case. We hope to hear from you soon.
